About the role
As Ranger Team Leader, you will lead a team of staff to deliver high quality services in line with the Regional Operations Plan, with support and under the direction of the Area Chief Ranger. You will work as a key member of the Park Area team in planning and delivering on-ground services. You will monitor work practices and with support from the Area Chief Ranger and ensure compliance with relevant specifications such as Parks Victoria's policies and procedures. You will be responsible for guiding the team, to inspire enthusiasm, to ensure their safety and welfare and to ensure they are appreciated for their efforts.
We're looking for someone with:
- Proven experience in leadership, performance improvement and managing a service delivery team day to day.
- Demonstrated flexibility in workload management with an ability to adapt and respond to new priorities.
- Focus on strong customer & visitor service, both internally and externally.
- Track record in dealing with external stakeholders and internal partners on a range of land management issues.

About the Region:
Southern & Maritime Region consists of a diverse range of parks and reserves. Staff working within the Region are responsible for providing efficient and effective implementation of a broad range of often complex park management functions including natural, cultural and built asset management, visitor management and services, stakeholder management, park planning and emergency response.
